Back in March, CD Projekt and Go On Board announced a crowdfunding campaign for Cyberpunk 2077: The Board Game. This is one of several board game adaptations of the TTRPG property. The campaign went live today and raised over $1 million on day one.

The Cyberpunk 2077: The Board Game Gamefound Campaign

According to the Gamefound campaign page, Cyberpunk 2077: The Board Game is a co-op narrative-driven experience. Players take on the role of characters from the game: V, Jackie, Judy, or Panam, and complete missions for money and street cred.

This is the third major board game adaptation of Cyberpunk 2077. In addition to the latest edition of the original TTRPG, Cyberpunk Red, other tabletop projects include the narrative strategy game Gangs of Night City, and the skirmish-based action game, Edgerunners: Combat Zone.

Cyberpunk 2077: The Board Game is a large box experience. A copy of the game contains hundreds of cards, dozens of plastic cubes and dice, and over two dozen miniatures. It is designed for 1-4 players and a single game can be completed in 60-90 minutes.

The campaign promotes an additional feature of the game. The Afterlife Mission Generator can generate custom missions, adding replay value to the experience.

Cyberpunk 2077: The Board Game has unlocked several stretch goals. These include additional missions, more game cards, and improved material quality.

But the biggest unlocks are brand new characters and a new game mode. Players can now face Max-Tac Assault squads in Night City, play as Goro Takemura, and share brain space with Johnny Silverhand in the new Relic Mode.

There are only two pledge levels for Cyberpunk 2077: The Board Game. The Standard Edition of the game, which can be backed for $79. The Deluxe Edition of the game costs $139, but will include higher quality game materials and some additional exclusives.

At time of writing the Gamefound campaign for Cyberpunk 2077: The Board Game has reached $1,357,616, over thirteen times its initial funding goal of $100,000. The campaign ends September 19.
