Today Critical Role announced that The Mighty Nein will be returning for a special two-shot adventure. The Mighty Nein was the moniker given to the cast of party members from Critical Role's second streamed campaign. Not only will fans be happy to know that The Mighty Nein will be returning but that for those who want to watch them on the big screen Critical Role has paired up with Cinemark to stream the games in cinemas across the Americas.

Part 1 of the two part special will air on November 17th, with the second part occurring two weeks later on December 1st. The Critical Role Mighty Nein two-part special will be streamed in 63 Cinemark locations domestically and in 9 Cinemark locations in South America. Tickets are available now via the Cinemark Critical Role website and via the Cinemark app. International screenings of this two part special will have showings a day after their domestic showing.

This two-part special is set a few months after the end of Campaign 2's thrilling finale where they traveled to Cognouza and saved the world unbeknownst to the people of Exandria. While a number of character storylines had been closed, such as Jester's family and relationship with the traveller, and Caleb's tortured past and those that were responsible for it, there are certainly other plot threads that could still be tugged at. While the hook for this two-shot was not revealed we do know that it will have to do with the re-emergence for "old chapters yet to be closed." One of the largest arcs that was left hanging at the end of Campaign 2 of Critical Role would be the fate of Uk'utoa, the trapped leviathan who was formerly Fjord's Warlock patron.

When talking of these new streaming shows Justin McDaniel, Cinemark SVP of Glkobal Content Strategy, had the following to say

Cinemark is pleased to build on our relationship with Critical Role and bring The Mighty Nein Reunited to our immersive auditoriums in the U.S. and South America, expanding the gaming and actual play experiences we bring to our big screens, Critters have been resoundingly enthusiastic about experiencing Critical Role’s worlds come to life in our shared, cinematic environment, and we are excited to give them another opportunity to witness the action together.

If you're excited for the return of The Mighty Nein but don't have a Cinemark location nearby then never fear. As usual the specials will be airing simultaneously via the Critical Role Twitch and YouTube account so you can watch it as you normally would consume Critical Role.
