Back in May, Critical Role announced their premium subscription service, Beacon. The service provides customers with exclusive streaming series, including behind-the-scenes of beloved actual play series. The new Beacon Fall line-up will continue that trend alongside promoting other creatives in the field.
The Critical Role Beacon Fall Line-Up Announcement
According to an official press release, the Beacon fall line-up will include a renewal of an actual play series. A second season of The Re-Slayer's Take with George Primavera and Nick Williams as dual GMs and Jasmine Bhullar (Dimension20), Jasper William Cartwright (Three Black Halflings), Caroline Lux (Story Pirates), and Jasmine Chiong (Kung Fu Panda The Dragon Knight) as the main cast.
Season 2 of The Re-Slayer's Take will debut September 9 with new episodes releasing weekly. Beacon members will have access to the first three episodes on this date and have two weeks of early access.
Another show coming back is Narrative Telephone in a new monthly series. Like the old children's game, the show involves a group of friends telling and re-telling a short story drawing just from their memory.
Beacon members will have access to the first episode of Narrative Telephone on October 16. Following the first episode, the show will release monthly with Beacon members having two weeks of early access.
The Beacon Fall line-up will also contain new material. For those interested in behind-the-scenes material on The Legend of Vox Machina, there is the new show Insight Additions with Sam Riegal and Travis Willingham as hosts.
If you've been following the development of Critical Role's newest TTRPG, Daggerheart, then the upcoming live event, Critical Role Presents: A Daggerheart Critmas Story should be on your radar. It is a live broadcast of a one-shot run by Matthew Mercer using the final version of Daggerheart.
The Beacon Fall Line-up will showcase other creators within the TTRPG actual play space. For those that enjoyed Moonward: A Midst Roleplaying Journey, the performance group Third Person is returning with a new series called Midst: Unend.
Midst: Unend will debut October 9 with new episodes releasing every Wednesday. Beacon members will have two-week early access.
Lastly, fans of the now-shuttered Rooster Teeth shall be pleased to know that Beacon will host the third campaign of Tales From The Stinky Dragon. This fantasy actual play will feature the creative storytelling talents of Gus Sorala as the Game Master alongside Barbara Dunkelman, Chris Demarais, Jon Risinger, and Blaine Gibson as players.
Tales From The Stinky Dragon campaign 3 will debut on September 30th. Beacon members will have 48-hour early access to the first episodes ad-free. New episodes will be released every two weeks.
