More official Pathfinder video games are on their way. Paizo Inc.'s highly popular fantasy TTRPG holds a strong passionate fanbase, one that has only grown in response to recent events. It has gained a reputation as a richer alternative to the more ubiquitous D&D thanks to more complex systems as well as dense comprehensive worldbuilding. This has led to two CRPGs, Pathfinder: Kingmaker and Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, developed by Owlcat Games. Now, the tabletop publisher will be partnering with BKOM Studios to produce new titles within this world.

According to an official press release, BKOM Studios will be working alongside Paizo to produce two new Pathfinder video games. The first one will be released on PC through Steam later this year. The second one is currently in the early stages of production.

BKOM Studios was founded in 1996. With almost three decades of experience, they have produced multiple experimental and beloved games. Those games include the experimental near-death simulator Before Your Eyes, the dystopian heist adventure Sunday Gold, and the fast-paced puzzle game Overloot. They've even developed Tales From Candlekeep: Tomb of Annihilation, a (now delisted) videogame adaptation of the D&D board game. Regarding the partnership, BKOM's CEO Frederic Marin stated, "After 26 years in this industry, there are people whom you know you want to work with again. And John Feil (Director of Licensing at Paizo) is definitely one of them. We can't wait to reveal more about the projects we've been working on with John and his colleagues."

As for Paizo's comment on BKOM developing new Pathfinder video games, their Director of Brand Strategy, Mark Moreland stated that the company is excited to be working with them. "Their track record is impeccable, and we can't wait to expand the Pathfinder brand into new digital spaces with them."

As for what exactly these new Pathfinder video games will be, that is up for speculation. They will most likely be RPGs, but given the scale and scope of Golarion, that can mean anything from being caught in the political chaos of Galt or navigating the spirit world in the land of Tian Xia.
