Syrinscape Tabletop Audio Interview - Gen Con 2015

Syrinscape is an interesting product that I wasn't quite sure of until I saw it demonstrated live. After seeing it live, I am now constantly pestering my DM about getting a subscription so that he can immerse us in thematic sounds and music as he attempts to horribly murder our Dungeons and Dragons characters.In the video below we speak with Benjamin Loomes about Syrinscape, who and what it's for, and he gives us a live demonstration of how Syrinscape can be used on the fly to create tension and theme for players of pen and paper role playing games, even when the players take the game off the rails and in unintended directions.

Syrinscape is a sound design app that allows players to mix together different thematic sounds and musical scores in order to heighten and amplify the theme of their chosen tabletop role playing game. The app provides users with access to sound effects and music that can be easily mixed, looped, and saved in preparation for various encounters and game scenarios that will be faced over an evening's gaming, and the interface is intuitive enough that users can switch sounds or mix together new sets of sound as the situation demands.

The list of sounds on offer is quite extensive and covers everything that gamers might need, from typical fantasy sounds, tavern music, dragon's roars, and haunted houses to more futuristic sci-fi sounds, such as lightsabers and blasters. It even features sound sets designed specifically to be used with Pathfinder adventure paths such as the Fortress of the Stone Giants and Spires of Xin-Shalast packs, making it a perfect addition for almost every type of RPG gamer you care to mention.
