Portal Games made a big splash at Gen Con 2016 with Cry Havoc and, even if that had been the only game they had shown, I'm sure that Gen Con would have been a resounding success for them. They did have other games on hand, both for demo and for purchase, and we spent a few minutes speaking with Ignacy Trzewiczek about a few other new-release and coming-soon games.

Portal Games is publishing a wide variety of games in 2016 and, with games across multiple genres, and at various weights, there's bound to be something coming from the Poland-based company that is sure to catch your eye. Check out the video below to hear about the zany, Mario Kart-esque multiplayer racing game Crazy Karts, the Cthulhu-themed two player card drafting game Tides of Madness that uses the popular system from another Portal game called Tides of Time, and Angry Ocean, the first expansion to the TechRaptor approved Rattle, Battle, Grab the Loot. When you add Cry Havoc to the mix, Portal Games has put a solid lineup of games together this year.

Aside from being incredibly busy both designing and publishing games, it should be noted that Ignacy also has amazingly accurate perception when it comes to feeling out people's personality types. He was able to instantly take the measure of the rest of the TechRaptor Gen Con crew in our brief time at the Portal Games booth (I'm joking ... or am I?).

On a more serious note, while I have yet to play Crazy Karts, I have spent time with Tides of Madness and Angry Ocean, and both are very fun. There will be reviews going up for both of them on TechRaptor in the not too distant future, so make sure you check back regularly to get a full write-up of my thoughts on them.

What do you think about Portal Games' line-up this year? Anything in particular that catches your eye? Let us know in the comments below.
