Feldherr Products Showcase

Feldherr offers a huge selection of solutions for protecting and organizing your tabletop life. These range from wargaming miniatures storage, to specific component protection for board and card games. We're big fans of their products here at TechRaptor, and as part of a Feldherr showcase, we're taking a look at different options they have available.

In this article, we're going to have a look at just some of the products Feldherr has available that we use to store, organize, and protect the TechRaptor tabletop inventory.

Feldherr DSLB 310

The Feldherr DSLB310 holds an insane amount of foam. The DS stands for Double-Sized as it holds 2 Full-Sized foam trays side by side and 310mm in height of foam. We have 2 DSLB 310's here at TechRaptor, storing miniatures from a range of different systems in a variety of foam. We'll look at some foam options later in this showcase.

The DSLB 310 is made from thick cardboard and has reinforced plastic handles. It's light and very portable. The lid fits snugly on top and allows you to stack multiple boxes. In just one of our boxes, we have 13 Full-Sized foam trays. The other has less foam, but some of the foam is extremely thick to hold larger miniatures like dragons and mechs.

What we like the most about the DSLB, is that because of the compatibility between all the Feldherr products, we can store miniatures permanently in their own foam trays, moving them between the DSLB and cases when we need to travel for games. We don't need to keep transferring individual miniatures between foam or shelves, as we just take the whole tray, depending on the faction we're playing.

Feldherr HS Case 50 / 90

The Feldherr HS cases are hard cases that support Half-Sized foam in either 50mm or 90mm height. These are perfect for protecting miniatures and components for skirmish games or carrying decks of cards for CCGs and board games, depending on the foam you use.

The HS cases are light-weight, but durable, sitting between soft-cases and plastic hard cases in terms of protection and weight. They have robust large zips on the outside, and mesh zipped pockets on the inside.

Feldherr Magnetic Box 40mm

Feldherr offers a range of Magnetic Boxes, a Yellow 40mm, Green 55mm, and Blue 75mm. They all hold Half-Sized foam and are made from a robust card, with a magnetic lid that snaps in place.

They are extremely lightweight and because of their shape, stack very easily. They are great for permanent storage for certain miniatures, like a Warhammer Underworlds warband or board game components that you don't transfer between storage solutions. We use the 40mm Magnetic Box to store the Gloomhaven miniatures.

Feldherr Mini-Plus and Maxi Cases

The Feldherr soft-cases range has a great selection in different sizes. The Mini comes in 3 sizes, regular, Minus and Plus. The Mini holds Half-Sized foam, at a variety of heights. We have the Mini-Plus, which is great for carrying several small forces for use in testing skirmish and wargames, or a medium force for a Warhammer 40K game.

The Medium and Maxi cases hold Full-Sized foam (or 2 Half-Sized side-by-side). Both Medium and Maxi come in regular sizes and Plus varieties, which add more depth. We have the Maxi case, which we use to carry all the Age of Sigmar Chaos warbands and Warcry components, or our Raven Guard Space Marine force including vehicles.

All the soft-cases are made from resistent fabric and can be laid flat when empty. This means they offer protection from the elements, but not impact damage. They are extremely light-weight, which makes them perfect for transporting. We move the foam trays back to the DSLB 310 for storage when we're not moving between games.

Feldherr Dedicated Board Game Organisation and Protection

Feldherr has storage and organization options for a huge range of dedicated board game protection. They are designed to fit into the original boxes of each product.

Feldherr Foam

To fill your Feldherr storage and transport solutions, you need foam, and Feldherr offers an incredible range of Full-Sized and Half-Sized foam solutions. Each foam is coded, with the first letters FS or HS and the next 3 numbers the height of the foam. For example, foam insert HS035BO is 35mm high.

All the products on the Feldherr site have comprehensive measurements, so it's easy to work out how much foam will fit in your case or box. You can then measure the miniatures you want to store, and then work out what sections you need in your foam. Feldherr has done a lot of this work for you, and by searching for a faction name, it will bring up their recommended foam trays.

Feldherr has the perfect foam tray for every requirement, from trays with assorted measurement sections to hold a variety or miniatures, the fixed measurements to hold huge armies of the same troops. They also offer foam for cards and components, so even if you're not a wargamer, you can carry your CCG or other tabletop games safely protected in their cases.
