Hello, TechRaptor readers! Here’s what you may have missed in the world of tabletop wargaming over the last week.

Games Workshop announced the upcoming release of Forgebane, a new boxed game set in the Warhammer 40K universe. The game will pit the forces of the Adeptus Mechanicus against the slowly awakening forces of a Necron tomb world activated after the opening of the Cicatrix Maledictum. Astute readers will notice two miniatures shown off at this year’s Las Vegas Open: the Knight Armiger Warglaives and a new Necron Cryptek miniature will make their debut appearances with this game’s release. Accompanying them will be small contingents of Skitarii and Necron forces that will provide a great starting-off point for anyone looking to build an army. As of this writing, no release date has been set for Forgebane.

Warcradle Studios released a new FAQ and card set for Wild West Exodus yesterday, bringing the current release version to 1.07. The core rulebook PDF has also been updated to the newest version, eliminating the need to flip back and forth between rulebook and FAQ during gameplay. The company has stated that the next card and rules updates won’t be coming until autumn, giving players the chance to adapt to the new rules.

The company also released two new posse previews this last week. Pancho Villa’s Golden Army and The Third Man’s Absolute Power Hex posses were shown yesterday. The Golden Army posse will contain Pancho Villa as the boss, Heraclio Bernal, Rosaria Mendes, Catalina Romers, and Procopio as faces, along with a pair of K-9 Attack Dogs. The Absolute Power posse will contain The Third Man as the boss, his bodyguard Kreechur, Garrat Morden, Megan Wild, Maria Torres-Villa, and John Hunter Bennett. The company has also stated that going forward, once a posse set has been released, the individual miniatures in said posse will not be available as single miniatures.

Corvus Belli has announced an upcoming narrative campaign set to kick off in April for Infinity. The Treason event campaign will give local Warcors the opportunity to run tournaments based on specific portions of the Infinity universe centered primarily around the uprising of the Japanese Secessionist Army. The event packs will come with two exclusive miniatures for first and second places: an O-Yoroi Kidobutai and an Imperial Agent Crane Rank. Supplies of the Treason tournament pack will be limited, so be sure to talk to your local Warcor about securing one quickly!

Privateer Press announced yesterday the return and revamp of Monsterpocalypse after a ten-year hiatus. The revamped game will still feature giant mechs fighting off giant kaiju monsters in major urban centers both players are free to destroy but will have several more modern updates and updates. The new Monsterpocalypse models will come unpainted and unassembled, which will allow for much more customization and detail than the previous version, for example. The game will contain six separate factions at launch, all of which will also contain two sub-factions known as Agendas. The new version of Monsterpocalypse is set to launch sometime in the fall of this year.

And finally, Knight Models announced today that the upcoming Kickstarter campaign for the Harry Potter Miniatures Adventure Game has been canceled. Instead, the company will be taking pre-orders starting on March 14th. According to the official statement released by the company, the change was prompted due to the desire to utilize their own shipping and fulfillment channels rather than relying on Kickstarter’s infrastructure. How well this move will work out for the game and the company remains to be seen.
