Hello, TechRaptor readers! Here’s what you may have missed in the world of tabletop wargaming over the last week.
First up is the end of the Wild West Exodus public beta test. Version 0.14 of the core rules and version 0.12 of the unit cards were released yesterday. The final rules draft included clarifications for building rules along with some final tweaks to various other rules as well. While the public beta has officially ended, updates to the various cards and special rules will still be released throughout the remainder of the testing period. The official release date for the second edition of the game is still scheduled for September 30th.
Steamforged Games has announced the next Guild Ball starter pack for the Mortician’s Guild. The Mortician’s Guild: The Master of Puppets comes with six players (Obulus, Dirge, Silence, Cosset, Ghast, Graves), a ball marker, and a goal post marker as well. The company also released a pair of blog posts focusing on the background for Morticians players Silence and Ghast, providing a new look into the machinations of the world of Guild Ball. The Mortician’s Guild: The Master of Puppets is currently available for pre-order with an MSRP of £50.00 GBP and a release date of July 21st.
Warlord Games has released several new models for Bolt Action focusing on the Polish Airborne forces. The Polish Airborne Section, Airborne HQ, flamethrower and sniper teams, MMG teams, light and medium mortar teams, anti-tank teams, anti-tank guns, 75MM Howitzer, Polsten guns, and Welbike riders are now available from the Warlord Games web store. This release wave also features a complete 500 point army box, as well as a massive Polish Airborne bundle containing all the new releases in one box. Fans of the Polish army in the game now have a vast array of units to choose from to fight off the Axis powers and help liberate Europe.
Privateer Press has several new Retribution releases for Warmachine. The faction now has a new warcaster in Lord Ghyrrshyld the Forgiven, the Hemera heavy warjack, a Fane Knight Guardian solo, and two new units: the House Shyeel Arcanists and Ryssovass Defenders. The new Retribution units are currently available from the Privateer Press web store and should be hitting the shelves of your FLGS very soon.
And finally, Games Workshop has released the first series of FAQs for Warhammer 40K this last week via the Warhammer Community website. The FAQs cover not only the core rules, but the various indexes for the armies and the Dark Imperium starter set as well. The company also released a separate FAQ for players returning to the game after an edition or two away to help ease them into the new edition and cover some of the areas that look a bit odd at first glance. The company also promises to have separate FAQs for the Imperial Armor indexes available in the near future.
