Hello, TechRaptor readers. Here’s what you may have missed in the world of tabletop wargaming this past week! There’s not much, as we’re quickly coming up to the Christmas holiday.

First up is the Infinity 10th anniversary celebration and contest. Corvus Belli has decided to celebrate the game’s 10th birthday with a rather impressive giveaway. The winner will receive a force from the upcoming Combined Army sectorial army, the First Contact Onix force, an Infinity Classified card deck, an Infinity art book, along with several terrain pieces and marker tokens from Warsenal. The contest ends at 12:00 CET on Christmas Eve, so be sure to enter today!

Corvus Belli also published a short article on their process for photographing miniatures, along with some advice for novice shutterbugs looking to advance past grainy shaky-cam style cellphone shots in a badly-lit room. The article gives readers some insight into how their visually stunning images are created and help create the overall feel of the Infinity universe.

Next up is Forge World’s Thousand Sons upgrade sets. The company released sets of shoulder pads, torsos, and heads, along with a task force bundle including a copy of The Horus Heresy: Betrayal at Calth for any new Horus Heresy players looking to quickly and easily start a Thousand Sons army. A full release for the Thousand Sons is expected to arrive when the Horus Heresy rulebook covering the battle of Prospero is released by Forge World. No set release date has been announced as of yet.

Privateer Press recently announced the release of two new models for Hordes. The Blackhide Wrassler and Grotesque Raiders are currently slated for a March 2016 release, but that date is considered tentative and may be pushed back.

Finally, this week’s White Dwarf release comes with a Betrayal at Calth specific mission introducing Daemons to the game. The mission explains how the denizens of the Warp function in the board game. This brings the total mission count for the game up to eight (six core missions and two White Dwarf missions).  This issue is currently on sale at your FLGS.
