Last night, the Geoff Keighley-produced awards show celebrated the gaming year and included an array of announcements regarding new games to be released in 2015. The show, simply called The Game Awards, replaced Spike's VGX awards and was held at the Axis in Las Vegas.

The Game Awards 2014

The Game Awards show, available via live stream, only featured a tribute to Roberta and Ken Williams, the creative couple behind Sierra On-Line, as well as twenty-one awards to be presented. Sixteen of these awards were the result of a jury consisting of major video game figures, including Hideo Kojima (Konami, Kojima Productions), Reggie Fils-Aime (Nintendo), Phil Spencer (Microsoft), Martin Tremblay (WB Interactive), Shawn Layden (Sony Computer Entertainment America), Peter Moore (Electronic Arts) and the undisclosed presence of Rockstar Studios and Valve. Along with these are five categories voted for by fans.

Below are the awards to be given tonight, split between Jury and Fan voted categories and in no particular order.
