Superdata has announced that Among Us has hit 500 million players a month, and it is "by far the most popular game ever in terms of monthly players." However, since the title is not heavily monetized (it's a $5 game on PC and free on mobile with ads) it didn't earn as much as its numbers would initially suggest. The PC version's $5 upfront price accounted for the majority of revenue from August to November (64%) even though it has only roughly 15 million players in total, or 3% of its total userbase in November.
