At PAX Prime 2015 I sat down with Sword Coast Legends Design Director Tim Schwalk and play the DM role of a short session of the game. The enormous amount of options on offer and even greater amount of fun to be had with the game ended up cementing the game's place on TechRaptor's Best of PAX Prime 2015.

Sword Coast Legends, which runs a modified version of Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition rules, was high on my priority list of 'must see games at PAX', essentially making up the entirety of the list, and I am thrilled to say that it lived up to my expectations. The game is going to offer some powerful and easy to use tools for my D&D group to use when we can't get together in person in addition to offering a 40 hour campaign that can be played solo or fully cooperatively.

Watch the video below as Tim attempts to guide me through a 'shared storytelling experience' and I essentially ignore his advice and do my best to murder the party horribly. The audio isn't great, but you should get a good feel for the tools that will be available to those players who wish to take on the DM role for a group of their friends.

What do you think about Sword Coast Legends? Are you as excited about the game's upcoming release as I am? Let me know what you think in the comments below and let me know what kind of dastardly and nefarious plans you have in store for your unsuspecting group of players.

Keep an eye out for Sword Coast Legends as it is planned to release on September 29th, 2015.
