Ninja or Pirates? If you've ever been engaged in this meme-worthy discussion, now you can simply answer "why not both?" thanks to Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew.

Today Mimimi Games released a new trailer of the game with plenty of developer commentary, showcasing the upcoming stealth-strategy gameplay in all of its glory, and also explaining the game's loop.

We get introduced to our ship, who is basically a sentient character in its own right, and then we move on to Toya, a playable character defined as an undead ninja pirate. Yet. He isn't just a ninja pirate, but also undead. What if I told you that he's also the ship's cook? There likely isn't any more room on his skull with all the hats he's wearing.

You can check out the trailer below.

Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew will release in 2023 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. At the moment, a release date has not been revealed just yet, but you can check out a previous trailer to take a look at more characters (Afia, Gaëlle, and Mr. Mercury.) and get an introduction

If you're unfamiliar Mimimi Games, the studio is known for games like Desperados III and Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun.

The game is set in the alternate history location of the Lost Caribbean and includes supernatural and magical elements to spice things up compared to previous titles by the developer. We're prompted to join the diverse crew of the Red Marley, a "ghost ship with a living soul" where you can plan the next mission.

You can then use the cursed crew's skills to wreak havoc on the unsuspecting (depending on whether you're good or not( soldiers of the Inquisition. Each pirate has unique skills and powers, so you can play each mission differently depending on who you pick.
