NIS America has announced the release date for Yomawari: Night Alone - the next title from the developers behind htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary. The game will release in North America on October 25th for both PlayStation Vita and Steam. Along with a standard digital release on both platforms, the title will also be receiving a Limited Edition for both versions that includes art books for both htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary, and Yomawari: Night Alone; as well as a limited edition tumbler that has a decal that changes with heat, if you purchase the Limited Edition directly from NIS America's online store. Both PlayStation Vita physical releases of the title will also include a separate copy of htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary on the game cart, and come with a reversible cover so you can display either game on your shelf.

The Limited Edition is already available for pre-order on both platforms; besides being available on NIS America's own online storefront, a version of the Limited Edition without the special tumbler is also available on Amazon and is applicable for Amazon Prime discount.

NIS America describes the game in the same PlayStation Blog post where they announced the games release date and subsequent Limited Edition, as a mix of survival horror, mystery, and stealth action. Players take control of a little girl that lives with her dog and her sister in a small town; one night when she is routinely walking her dog, disaster strikes and she returns home with only her dog's leash. After her sister goes out to search for the family's beloved pooch and doesn't return, she decides to venture out to find them - discovering that the small town that she has called home has warped into something sinister during the night.

Unlike htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary, Yomawari: Night Alone is apparently a more open-ended experience - you'll really be exploring the town, gathering and using various items and clues, while attempting to outrun or outsmart the various ghouls that inhabit the warped and eerie town. NIS America notes that you can explore almost anywhere in the town from the get-go.

Will you be picking up Yomawari: Night Alone when it releases this October? Are you going to be going with the standard release if you do, or are you interested in the title's Limited Edition? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
