The internet is a vast world of its own and it’s easy for webpages to go unnoticed and get lost in cyberspace without ever gracing the eyes of readers. However, this was not the case when Amazon Canada briefly exposed a pre-order page for an Xbox One media remote earlier today.
The page was only up for a short period of time but even that was enough to obtain the suggested March 4th release date. The image indicated that the remote will cost 24.99 in Canada which translates to roughly 22.70 US dollars.
It appears that Amazon has removed the listing though it can still be viewed on Google Cache offering up no other details. Microsoft also seems to be tight lipped about the product as they disclosed no information when commenting to The Verge.
The accessory itself doesn’t seem to be cluttered with an enormous amount of buttons that you often see on traditional remotes. This is a solid indication that the company may be taking the “more is less” type of approach in its design.A Microsoft spokesperson says “we are always thinking about what is next for our platform, but don’t have anything to share at this time.”
With the recent announcement of the Xbox One stereo headset and adapter arriving in March it seems as though this leaked Xbox One media remote listing may have some truth to its potential arrival.
