More games have been added to the Xbox Game Pass September lineup. In addition to Lemnis Gate later in the month, we now also have an iconic JRPG, a wacky Bossa sim, and a legendary roguelike, plus five more fun titles to check out on the service.
What new games have been added to the Xbox Game Pass September lineup?
As ever, some of these games will only be available for certain platforms, while others will be accessible across PC, consoles, and cloud gaming with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. You're getting four on September 2nd, one on September 7th, and three on September 9th. Let's take a look at the games coming to Xbox Game Pass early this month!
Craftopia - September 2nd (PC, console, and cloud)
In Craftopia, it's just you, an island, and a whole bunch of resources to mine and craft with. What exactly you do with your time is completely up to you, so if you're a fan of sandbox games, this is one for you. Feeling overwhelmed? Be sure to check out our Craftopia beginner's tips.
Final Fantasy XIII - September 2nd (PC and console)
Square Enix's iconic - yet somewhat controversial - JRPG almost needs no introduction. You are Lightning, and together with your motley band of misfits, you must struggle against the fate that has suddenly been ordained for you.
Signs of the Sojourner - September 2nd (PC, console, and cloud)
Set in a world ravaged by the excesses of climate change, Signs of the Sojourner is a narrative-based deck-building game all about building friendships and relationships. You must acquire things to sell in your shop, all the while getting to know the people around you.
Surgeon Simulator 2 - September 2nd (PC, console, and cloud)
Bossa Studios' wacky surgeon sim returns. Take on a series of medical challenges either alone or with your buddies, and once you get tired of the madcap physics antics, tackle one of the many community-created stages on offer.
Crown Trick - September 7th (PC and console)
In this procedurally-generated dungeon-crawling RPG, you must help Elle to navigate a series of dangerous trap-filled environments. The enemies and traps move when you do, adding a layer of strategy to the tense action.
Breathedge - September 9th (PC, console, and cloud)
This survival epic is set in a world inspired by Cold War-era Soviet aesthetics and the retrofuturist movement. You are a man - simply called "The Man" - who is waylaid by a conspiracy while trying to scatter his grandfather's ashes.
Nuclear Throne - September 9th (PC and console)
Legendary Vlambeer roguelite Nuclear Throne makes its way to Xbox Game Pass this September. Battle irradiated enemies across a series of blasted wastelands, upgrade your weapons, and mutate as you go, all the while aiming to reach the titular Throne.
The Artful Escape - September 9th (PC and console)
In this psychedelic adventure, you play as a teenage guitar hero who must find inspiration to develop his persona on stage while also confronting a folk legend's legacy. The voice cast includes luminaries like Mark Strong, Lena Headey, and Jason Schwartzman.
There's plenty of stuff to sink your teeth into this month on Xbox Game Pass, so start adding to your next-to-play list. It's also not too late to take a look at the Xbox Game Pass August lineup, which includes classics like Hades and Skate 3. Don't forget that there are a few games leaving the Xbox Game Pass service this month, too. Here's everything you won't be able to play anymore if you're an Xbox Game Pass subscriber (unless you buy these games, of course!).
