The Xbox Game Pass May 2023 lineup has been revealed, and there are eight more games making their way to the service over the rest of this month. They include an XCOM-style tactics game, a Pokemon-esque creature-collecting RPG, and a rather gorgeous cinematic platformer, plus more.

First up, FIFA 23 is heading to PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate later today thanks to EA Play. If you're yet to try out EA's final FIFA game before the series rebrands, now's the time to do so. Then, on May 18th, side-scrolling Souls-inspired platformer Eastern Exorcist hits Game Pass. Give it a try if you're still on a Souls kick.

Also landing on Game Pass on May 18th is Diablo-inspired ARPG Ghostlore, which is already available with a PC Game Pass subscription but which is coming to consoles on that date. May 23rd sees the release of Planet of Lana, a cinematic platformer that resembles a cross between Studio Ghibli and Team Ico. Keep an eye out for that one.

Three games hit Game Pass on May 25th. Cassette Beasts is already available on PC, but it's pressing play on Xbox consoles, accompanied by tactical RPG Massive Chalice and train sim Railway Empire 2. Your final Game Pass game for May is Chicory: A Colorful Tale, which launches on the service on May 30th. Here's a quick recap of everything that's heading to Game Pass this month.

  • FIFA 23 (PC, console - today)
  • Eastern Exorcist (PC, console - May 18th)
  • Ghostlore (console - May 18th)
  • Planet of Lana (PC, console - May 23rd)
  • Cassette Beasts (console - May 25th)
  • Massive Chalice (console, cloud - May 25th)
  • Railway Empire 2 (PC, console, cloud - May 25th)
  • Chicory: A Colorful Tale (PC, console - May 30th)

Sadly, there are also several games departing Xbox Game Pass this month, as is always the case. Here are all the games you'll be bidding a tearful farewell to on May 31st.

  • Europa Universalis
  • Evil Genius 2: World Domination
  • FIFA 21
  • Floppy Knights
  • Lawn Mowing Simulator
