Xbox has used their time at E3 this year to reveal some pretty astounding things, but one of the biggest announcements has been the final reveal of a release date for the upcoming sci-fi RPG title, The Outer Worlds. The game was initially announced only around 6 or so months ago and has been pretty hyped up since then, the latest trailer from E3 2019 shows of some never before seen footage, including some new gameplay as well as more details surrounding the world, story and player choice.
The Outer Worlds is being developed by Obsidian Entertainment, developers of Fallout: New Vegas, which is unsurprising considering that their new title has a very Fallout meets Borderlands feel to it. There is also more than a little cyberpunk-style dystopia going on in the story, which features numerous interplanetary corporations that define the lives of the people in the game. The trailer also seemed to suggest that the main character will have a lot of different choices to make which will define who the character is and the sort of person that he becomes.
The most important piece of information about the game to be revealed at the Xbox conference was almost certainly a definite release date. You will be able to get your hands on The Outer Worlds starting from October 25th from the Microsoft Store, and will also be coming straight to Game Pass at launch so there's no waiting for subscribers to Microsoft's premium game downloading service. You can check out the full trailer below for more information or check out Obsidian Entertainment's social media and official website, not to mention the site for the game as well.
