The quite surprising combo of Gears of War and Pop! the series of popular figures, has shown off some new gameplay as well as a brand-new trailer featuring the antics of some of the in-game characters. The game features characters from the Gears of War universe, in Funko's classic Pop! style, and is being developed as an exclusively mobile gaming experience. The brief snips of gameplay seem to show the game as some sort of competitive tactical game, presumably complete with multiplayer and almost certainly collectible elements to compliment the POP! branding.

Gears POP! will also have an accompanying comic book too, being released by IDW Publishing, and written by Georgia Ball the author behind the Disney Princess comic series. Despite Gears POP! having a decidedly lighter tone than the game it is originally based upon, it is unclear if the game is being aimed or marketed at a younger audience, considering the M rating the games have had since the series first started. If Gears POP! and the accompanying comic book do have a more child-friendly tone, then we could possibly be looking at the series' first-ever E rated game, although more than likely it will be at least T.

The E3 2019 reveal seems to be a big step up from last year when the game was barely teased. You can pre-order the app on both Ios and Android at some point in the near future, with a full release planned out for later this very summer and you can check out the E3 2019 trailer below for more details on the sort of gameplay that you can expect to come from the game once it is fully released.
