During the Xbox E3 2019 conference this Sunday, Gearbox Software shared a new official trailer called "We Are Mayhem," where the playable characters, the Vault Hunters, are revealed officially. Their names are Moze the Gunner, Fl4k the Beastmaster, Amara the Siren, and Zane Flynt, the Operative. The trailer shows plenty of the characters' special skills along with a lot of shooting and looting, as well as another look at the game's twin villains as they stand over their adoring minions.

We already knew something about the skill trees of Amara and Zane. Amara's skills branch into Brawl, Mystical, and Fist of the Element, each branch with an action skill. There are passive abilities to be unlocked as she progresses through the branch, as well as skill augmentations, and new action skills to equip. Zane has three branches as well, but he's able to sacrifice the ability to wield grenades to equip a second action skill. His skill trees branch into Hitman, Doubled Agent, and Under Cover. Hitman has a sentinel drone, Doubled Agent is a hologram clone, and Under Cover is a defensive barrier.

As for the other two Vault Hunters, Moze seems to be styled after previous soldier-type characters, such as Roland from Borderlands or Salvador from Borderlands 2. Instead of using a turret or wielding two guns at once, Moze is able to pilot a giant mech, which is called Iron Bear.

As we had reported, first as a rumor and then as a leak, Gearbox Software will also release a new DLC for Borderlands 2 that promises to connect both games so that there's a continuity between the stories. This new DLC is called Borderlands 2: Commander Lilith & The Fight For Sanctuary will get a store page soon, and it was also featured along with the new Borderlands 3 trailer. The DLC is now available to download from Steam for free.

Borderlands 3 will release on September 13, 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
