James Monosmith, the Senior Sales and Marketing Manager at Xbox Consumer Products, has announced Adias and Xbox will be releasing their first console-inspired sneaker: the Xbox 360 Forum Mid, which is the first Xbox-themed sneaker available to purchase in the U.S. and Canada.
While this is pretty weird, it's definitely not the first strange crossover of its kind. Recently, we've had Build-A-Bear and Animal Crossing and Monster Energy Drinks and Halo Infinite crossovers to get excited about. Besides, if you've got the Xbox 20th Anniversary Controller, you have to get the shoes to go with it, right? How else will you slam back your Monster Drinks while playing Halo Infinite? Without wearing your Xbox 360 Forum Mid sneakers? Ha! Don't be absurd.
The Xbox 360 Forum Mid sneakers draw inspiration from the original Xbox 360 console colors, which are white, silver, and green. The strap shoes off the Xbox 360 disc tray, and the 360-era Xbox button design is on the shoe's outer side with the console's air vents on the inner side. The heel references the Xbox 360's removable hard drive and memory unit slots.
Basically, the Xbox 360 sneaker has a bunch of references to, well, the Xbox 360, so be sure to look over the Xbox 360 sneaker closely if you end up buying these for some reason.
If you want these sneakers, they'll be available to purchase from in the U.S. and Canada on November 4 at 7:00 a.m. PT via the official Adidias website. There's also a virtual reveal experience that will help players relive the launch of the Xbox 360, so be sure to sneak on over if that sounds up your alley.
