WWE 2K20 PS4 refunds are being offered by Sony in light of several problems that have emerged with the game since its launch.
This year's edition of the WWE 2K franchise appears to have several severe problems as reported by GamesIndustry.biz, most obviously noticable by graphical glitches. The problems have gotten so bad that people have been sending in support tickets at a volume that appears to have overwhelmed 2K Support.
"We're receiving more tickets than normal," read a tweet from @2KSupport. "Rest assured: We’re doing everything we can to get to your case. Thanks for your patience!"
Others, however, seem to have eschewed filing a support ticket and went straight to Sony for a refund — and they're getting them.
#FixWWE2K20 Trends as WWE 2K20 PS4 Refunds Are Issued
One of the reasons WWE 2K20 PS4 refunds are being processed probably has to do with the game going viral. Unfortunately, it hasn't gone viral for being some sort of phenomenal new entry in the franchise; rather, the situation has been quite the opposite.
Graphical glitches, lag, and missing features have been so pervasive that fans have taken to spreading them on social media, many of which fall under the #FixWWE2K20 hashtag.
"How do I get a refund for #WWE2K20?" read one tweet in the #FixWWE2K20 hashtag. "Game has been out a week still with bugs and missing features, and you say 2 weeks until a fix. I want my money back. #FixWWE2K20 #refund"
"Sorry but you shouldn't be promoting this game in it's current state," read another tweet. "It's broken and near enough unplayable. #WWE2K20 #FixWWE2K20"
As the first tweet said, 2K has come out and said that a patch will be forthcoming in the next couple of weeks. Whether or not it actually fixes most of these problems and — perhaps more importantly — quells this PR disaster, we can't say.
