Telltale's The Wolf Among Us 2 will not be making an appearance at The Game Awards 2020, but Telltale Games was able to reveal a tiny bit of information about how the game is being developed.

Roughly one year ago, Telltale Games revealed that The Wolf Among Us 2 was in development. Most recently, the company restored three classic games from its back catalog to digital storefronts; combined with last year's reveal, fans were hoping to learn more about Bixby's next adventure at The Game Awards 2020. Unfortunately, it looks like that won't be the case this year.

Why The Wolf Among Us 2 Won't Be at The Game Awards 2020

Telltale Games released a tweet earlier this afternoon, explaining that we aren't going to be seeing anything new from the game in a rather roundabout fashion. Considering that The Game Awards 2020 kicks off tonight, that means that the chances of a new trailer are nonexistent.

"We know you're excited to hear more about [TWAU2]," read the tweet from Telltale Games. "And we look forward to telling you more when the time is right. What we can say is that we are developing the entire season at once and there is more to do before we're ready to share what's next for the Fabletown gang. It's just not time yet."

This announcement quashes recent rumors that the game would be making an appearance at The Game Awards 2020 and announcing a Winter 2021 release window. Although Telltale Games has not explicitly mentioned tonight's show, stating that "It's just not time yet" regarding the reveal of new content effectively means that we won't be seeing anything new from this upcoming game.

This news may be disappointing, but there is still tons of interesting new stuff to see tonight at Geoff Keighley's awards show! You can tune in to The Game Awards 2020 tonight starting at 7:00 PM EST.
