Dark fantasy action RPG Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem is coming to consoles next week, developer Wolcen Studio has announced. The game will also be getting a fourth act for its story, which the studio intends to be the final climactic end to a narrative that began with the game's release back in 2020.
Over on Twitter, Wolcen Studio confirms that the game is coming to PlayStation and Xbox consoles on March 15th, although there's no word of a Switch release. The studio also reveals that Endgame, the "fourth act of the Wolcen story", will be available both as part of the console editions of the game and also as a free download for PC players on the same date. You can check out a trailer for Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem on consoles right here.
Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem was originally released for PC back in February 2020. It's an action RPG that takes place in a "corrupted world falling apart", according to the devs, and it offers a unique rotating skill tree that lets you customize your character however you like. Naturally, since this is an ARPG, you'll gather loot as you play, crafting improvements for your gear and creating a build that suits your particular playstyle.
You can decide whether you want to play Wolcen as a single-player RPG offline, or whether you'd like to head online and try it out alongside your buddies or random adventurers. You've also got two different difficulty modes, Story and Normal, to choose from, so if you just want to sit back and enjoy Wolcen's epic narrative, then you can do so without fear.
You'll be able to pick up Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem on PlayStation and Xbox when it launches on March 15th. The game is currently available to buy on PC via both Steam and the Epic Games Store, and Act 4 of the story will arrive on the same day as the console release for PC players. If you're hyped for Diablo 4 and you want some meaty action RPG goodness to tide you over before its upcoming open beta, this should fit the bill nicely.
