The Wolcen Bloodstorm Update has arrived, bringing a little bit of new content to the game along with a ton of other balance changes and bugfixes.

Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem is a hack n' slash game with no class restrictions, allowing players to freely create a unique, interesting build for their character. Naturally, it can also be a pretty challenging experience — and today's update has given the more hardcore players out there the opportunity to make things even tougher.

What's New in the Wolcen Bloodstorm Update?

The first major addition arriving in the Wolcen Bloodstorm Update is the addition of 30 new difficulty levels to the Champion of Stormfall Expeditions; they can now be played up to Level 217. Joining this addition is the new "Neovivex Armor" for the Champion of Stormfall projects.

Four new environments have been added to endgame expeditions: Aberrant Bluffs. Aberrant Halls of Adrastis. Infested Adrigion Woodlands, and Infested Primordial Catalyst. Additionally, 13 new environmental variations have been added to the game:

  • Adrigion Mud Pits
  • Autumnal Marshes
  • Blood-curdling Swamp
  • Bloodweed Battlegrounds
  • Emerald Halls
  • Halcyon Halls
  • Midsummer Haze
  • Polluted Plateau
  • Primaveral Mists
  • Shivering Wastes
  • The Stagnant Graves
  • Waylaying Plains
  • Windstruck Quagmire

A couple of tiny changes will improve quality of life for players, too. Dodge rolls will now go through enemies by default and pets can now automatically fetch gold from fallen monsters, chests, and destructible environments.

As always, we've just highlighted some of the more interesting things in this update; you can read about all of the changes in the full Wolcen Bloodstorm Update patch notes. New update content aside, it's also a pretty great time to get into the game — you can buy Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem on Steam for just $27.99, a 30% discount that lasts until April 6, 2021.
