Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is almost here, and Koei Tecmo has released a new launch trailer showing some of what you can expect from the upcoming Chinese history-inspired Soulslike. In addition, a brand new demo is available to try out right now, and you'll get a nifty reward for completing it.
The new Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty demo was announced earlier this month, but it's available right now to try out on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. It covers a small chunk of the game, and progress in the demo will carry over to the full version, so you're not wasting your time by checking it out. What's more, you'll get a special piece of armor for making it through the demo as well.
In addition to the demo, a new trailer has also been released for Koei Tecmo's upcoming hack-and-slash RPG. It shows off the game's dark, gritty interpretation of the Three Kingdoms period of Chinese history, as well as many of the twisted monstrosities you'll be fighting. If you haven't been keeping up with Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, here's a quick catchup. It's a Soulslike hack-and-slash RPG developed by the people behind Nioh, but unlike that game, Wo Long is set in ancient China (albeit a rather liberal interpretation of same). It will cover famous Three Kingdoms events like the Yellow Turban Rebellion, but sprinkle them with a dash of dark fantasy and monsters, so even if you think you know this period of history, you're likely to see something new.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is scheduled to arrive on PC, PlayStation consoles, and Xbox platforms on March 3rd, and it's also coming to Game Pass on day one. If you're planning to pick the game up on PC, make sure to read the system requirements first so that you've got an idea of how your rig is going to run this rather demanding-looking RPG.
