Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Demo

Today Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja announced that a new demo of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is coming soon.

The demo, announced on social media, will launch on all the platforms the game is coming to, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. It'll be released on February 24.

Quite obviously, it features the beginning of the game, as the save game will transfer to the final release. On top of that, completing the demo will net you the "Crouching Dragon Helmet" DLC for the final game. That's not a bad reward for enjoying a bit of gameplay for free, albeit the difficulty of Wo Long may discourage some.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will release on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC on March 3, 2023. The game will also release on day one on Xbox Game Pass both on consoles and PC. If you'd like to see more, you can check out the story trailer that was released last month, which also provides a good look at some of the characters that we'll meet in the game, both allies and enemies.

While the parallel with the Nioh series is fairly obvious, Team Ninja decided to go with something completely different this time around, while still hitting a setting near and dear to the tradition of Koei Tecmo, which has made many games focusing on the Romance of the Three Kingdoms mythology.

As usual from this kind of genre, you'll have to face hordes of absolutely ruthless demons (that destroyed me when I tested the game's demo at Tokyo Game Show), powerful warlords, and a conspiracy focused around an elixir that promises to grant immortality.
