Many gamers around the world are already playing the "Complete Edition" of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, but those who want a physical copy will soon have the chance to get one.
CD Projekt announced that physical retail copies of the enhanced Complete Edition for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S will be in stores in North America, Europe, and other select territories around the world in just a few days, on January 26.
The updated version doesn't just add native support with all the bells and whistles for the new consoles, but it also brings a lot of fixes, new features, and new content to be worthy of the "Complete Edition" name.
For fans of the Netflix show, the box includes a quest inspired by it, which grants some spiffy items. On top of that, the expansions Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine on top of all previous DLC also come within the package.
If you're unfamiliar with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, it was released all the way back in 2015 and it's by far the most successful game ever released by CD Projekt Red. It's the direct sequel of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings released in 2011, which is in turn the sequel of the 2007 game The Witcher. The three games are so well connected that you can actually carry forward your choices from the first two into the third if you happen to have save games left on the same platform.
They're inspired by the novel series Wiedźmin by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski, and they're highly regarded as some of the best dark fantasy games ever created.
