Are you looking for a Monster Hunter competitor? Well, EA and Omega Force have you covered with their Wild Hearts release date, with the Monster Hunter competitor launching on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on February 17, 2022. Previously announced just over two weeks ago, Wild Hearts will take you to a fantasy feudal Japan, where you'll battle against giant nature-infused beasts called Kemono. To do this, you'll have access to the Karakuri, which are mechanisms created from a lost and secret technology.
The game will take place in the world of Azuma, which is being trampled over by the once-peaceful Kemono. They're no longer peaceful, however, and the environment has now been altered at the cost of human lives. The Kemono range from squirrels that are now infused with plants through to a huge Kingtusk wild boar. The game begins once you fight off a winter wolf Deathstalker, and with the aid of the Karakuri, you'll restore balance across Azuma.
As you'll soon see in the Wild Hearts release date trailer, you'll be able to construct weird inventions that range from a mobile parachute, to quickly built towers, and weapons that will help you fight against the Kemono. You'll also be able to take the fight to the Kemono alone or with up to two friends in crossplay co-op. The game will have voice overs in English, Japanese, French, Italian, German and Spanish.
Wild Hearts will launch for PC and current-gen consoles (although not Switch, sadly) on February 17th. An "extended gameplay reveal" is also on its way next month, according to a press release, so keep an eye out for that!
