In our Wholesome Snack recap, we go over the games that were detailed during this stream that has a special focus on cute and wholesome games with an indie aesthetic.
Back in May 2020, the Wholesome Games Direct detailed a bunch of upcoming indie games. As the name implies, these games had a focus on a wholesome theme and the stream was filled with a ton of super-cute games.
Now, a new "Wholesome Snack" stream has launched and brought some updates for these games along with the reveal of two new titles: Land of Screens and Date Night Bowling. Read on for our quick Wholesome Snack recap!
Wholesome Snack Recap — Game Updates
A big portion of the Wholesome Snack stream was dedicated to updating us on games that we had seen in the last stream. These bite-sized bits of info don't have anything earth-shattering, but every developer here had some kind of new announcement or new trailer to show off.
pupperazzi
Kitfox Games has been announced as the publisher for pupperazi, an upcoming game that's all about snapping pictures of cute dogs a la Pokemon Snap. You can add pupperazzi to your wishlist on Steam.
Snacko
The Wholesome Snack stream had a special reveal for viewers: Snacko will have an "Island Cultural Center" akin to the museum in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Players can use this new building to donate the various items they find throughout the game. Don't forget to add Snacko to your wishlist on Steam!
Garden Story
Garden Story will be part of the Indie Arena booth at the end of August 2020. A few events for the game will be hosted over that weekend. Furthermore, Garden Story has been announced for the Nintendo Switch. For now, you can add Garden Story to your wishlist on Steam to get ready for its 2021 release date.

Wholesome Snack Recap — New Games
Aside from updates on past games, the Wholesome Snack stream has also revealed two new titles: Land of Screens and Date Night Bowling.
Land of Screens
Land of Screens is a point-and-click adventure with an interesting concept — how can you navigate the real world when you've spent ages stuck watching social media? Players will have to navigate terrifying social situations like walking through a hotel lobby, attending a family reunion, and surviving a party full of strangers.
As with most of the other games detailed in the Wholesome Snack Recap, you can add Land of Screens to your wishlist on Steam.
Date Night Bowling
Date Night Bowling is exactly what it says on the tin — a game about going on a date to a bowling alley. Players must use their bowling skills and smooth moves to impress their date, including scoring a coveted plushie from the claw machine and tossing popcorn into your date's mouth.
You'll be able to play Date Night Bowling in 2021. For now, you can add Date Night Bowling to your wishlist on Steam.
And that's a wrap on the Wholesome Snack Recap! Most of these games will be coming out later this year or in 2021, so be sure to add the ones that interest you to your wishlist and be ready for launch day!
