Halo 5: Guardians launched less than a month ago and 343 is gearing up to add in even more content to what is already a wildly popular multiplayer. Included in this is Big Team Battle, new REQ's, and new maps from popular forgers, or cartographers as 343 likes to call them. All of the following information was released via the Halo Waypoint blog.
The classic Big Team Battle mode will be joining the rotation with this November update. This BTB mode will focus not just on some over the top 8v8 carnage but will also have a whole lot of vehicle-based action going on too.
From a video that was shown when Forge mode was first revealed and detailed 343 got a whole lot of pro forgers in to test out forge mode and give feedback as to what they would like the most. From that 343 industries also let them have a pick of BTB maps that they were to use as a base to create BTB maps from Halo 5. The maps that these forgers took inspiration from are Sidewinder/Avalanche, Standoff, Burial Mounds, Longbow, and Headlong. From those forgers we now have four new maps to look forward to in the November update. The new maps will be called Deadlock, Basin, Guillotine, and Recurve. Next week there will be more information revealed on all of the maps.
On top of the new maps plenty of new REQ's are being added. At the moment only a Tracer armor set, pistol weapon skin, Tank variant and emblem have been revealed but from everything that has been blacked out there is plenty more to collect.
New information about these maps and REQ's will be revealed over the coming days via Waypoint and the Halo Twitter account. This content is set to be released the week of November 16th.
