Studio Different Tales lifted the veil on their upcoming project, Werewolf: The Apocalypse: Heart of the Forest. The short trailer—less than 30 seconds even—doesn't give away much, but as part of the World of Darkness universe, you can expect horror aspects in this project.
In the trailer, you can see an excavator working through a forest, a wolf pack running through fog, and a creepy owl stare right in to the camera. There's also a shot of presumably a werewolf, snarling menacingly while brandishing its fangs. And of course, we can't forget the iconic full moon, an integral part of any werewolf-based sotry.
The World of Darkness, a popular setting for supernatural tabletop games, and it's the proper setting for all sorts of horror stories. As such, you can expect that Werewolf: The Apocalypse: Heart of the Forest won't be for the faint of heart.
This isn't the first showing for World of Darkness in this week of gaming announcements. Earlier this week, a trailer for Wrath: The Oblivion - Afterlife appeared, showing off some spooky shots of an upcoming horror VR title. Additionally, Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood was shown off during IGN's Summer of Gaming event on Wednesday. The latter game is slated to be an Epic Games Store exclusive on PC.
We don't know when we'll be hearing more about Werewolf: The Apocalypse: Heart of the Forest, but we'll keep you posted as we learn more in July, when the game will be more fully revealed.
