WayForward has announced that it will publish 13AM Games' upcoming kaiju game Dawn of the Monsters, targeting a PC and console release later in 2021.
Dawn of the Monsters is a game that's in development by 13AM Games. The company's most recent release is Double Cross, currently available on sale for 75% off on Steam. 13AM Games is hard at work on its next title — and now, WayForward will be publishing it and providing some creative support.

Why is WayForward Publishing Dawn of the Monsters?
Dawn of the Monsters certainly looks cool and that's one of the major reasons WayForward will be publishing the game.
"From the moment we laid eyes on Dawn of the Monsters, we knew it had the potential to be something special," said WayForward's Voldi Way in a press release. "13AM Games is a phenomenal developer that has been a great collaborative partner in the past, and we are very excited to help them bring this unique vision to life."
13AM Games and WayForward first met at IndieCade 2014; the two developers happened to be next to one another in the Nintendo booth, showing off Runbow and Shantae and the Pirate's Curse. The camaraderie led to Shantae becoming a playable character in Runbow; this was the start of a relationship that ultimately culminated in this new publishing deal.

WayForward publishing began with LIT for WiiWare back in 20019. Since then, it has made publishing games an "ever-increasing focus" according to Director of Publishing Christopher Shanley.
Its first published title from an external developer was the console version of Last Dimension's Mystik Belle for the PS4 and Xbox One; Dawn of the Monsters will be the second game from another developer published by WayForward to date. The company is no stranger to kaiju games, either; back in 2020, it developed Godzilla Domination.
When is the Dawn of the Monsters Release Date?
13AM Games and WayForward are currently targeting a late 2021 Dawn of the Monsters release date. The game will be coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch.
