Developer CyberCoconut has announced that The Way of Life: Definitive Edition will launch on March 15. The news comes alongside an official trailer which shows off the game's charming polygonal art style and gives a glimpse at its heavy subject matter.

The Way of Life: Definitive Edition allows players to witness several events from the point of view of three different characters. A child, an adult, and an old man all offer different perspectives on each scene, many of which touch on heavy subject matter such as euthanasia, war and love.  Each perspective features a unique gameplay mechanic, making it feel distinct and dynamic. The only thing which all three characters share is a first-person view, with each character interacting with the world in a different way. The child sees the world as a more colorful place and is inherently more eager to explore it. The adult on the other hand, has a narrower, less vibrant view except for the things he really cares about. The old man is appropriately slower and shakier.

The game's central theme involves the idea of personal growth and different perceptions of the same reality, something which every choice in the game is linked to. And there are 70 choices peppered throughout the game's 10 experiences in 30 levels, each one significant to advancing the story. The game offers several choice-dependent endings which are tailored to the player's personal experience.

The Way of Life initially released for free in 2015 on Steam Early Access before entering a Steam Greenlight campaign to develop the full version. The Way of Life: Definitive version features more levels, experiences, and choices for the player to enjoy, and will take up to 10 hours to complete in full.
