Watch Dogs Legion has been officially confirmed by Ubisoft. Following yesterday's leak of what will be the third game in the Watch Dogs franchise, the game's Twitter account has changed up their media with a new logo and a confirmation of when the game will be revealed.

"God Save the NPCs," said a tweet on the game's official account. "Reveal at E3". The tweet concluded with the hashtags #WatchDogsLegion and #UbiE3, the latter of which is referring to Ubisoft's upcoming E3 2019 conference.

Unfortunately, that's all the official information we have about the game for now. Yesterday's leak, however, has a good few details about what we can expect to see from the game. Here's the relevant product information from the now-deleted Amazon post:

Watch Dogs Legion - About the Product

Play as anyone. Every individual you meet in the open world, has a full set of animations, voice over, character traits, and visuals that are generated & guided by gameplay systems.

Watch Dogs Legion - Product Description

Watch Dogs Legion is set in a near-future, dystopian version of London. It's a post-Brexit world in which society, politics, and technology have changed and altered London's fortunes. London is one of the most iconic cities in the world and has had a massive influence on all of Western Culture fur centuries... London makes total sense for WD, as the city has one of the highest [surveillance] levels in the world making this the perfect playground.

Essentially, this game will let you play as anyone. It's a little difficult to say exactly what they mean by it. Several people on Twitter have pointed out that it's a little strange to call these characters NPCs (Non-Player Characters) as you will apparently be able to play them. Conversely, they technically would stop being an NPC the moment you played them. It's all very meta.

As a bit of speculation, I imagine that you would be able to switch between NPCs just as you can swap between the three protagonists of Grand Theft Auto V. We're sure to see this brand-new game in action at Ubisoft's E3 2019 conference. Make sure to stay tuned to TechRaptor for all of your E3 coverage!
