Watch Dogs 2 Black Friday

Ubisoft has released a new patch for the PC version of their hacker fantasy open world game Watch Dogs 2. This patch fixes a few smaller bugs in addition to more impactful changes to the PC version of the game.

You can find the full patch notes on the official Watch Dogs 2 Steam community page. This patch was already deployed to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game last week and now it's the PC version that's getting some extra attention.

According to the patch notes, this update adds some much-needed RAM Usage Optimization that will mostly benefit players on systems with a comparatively low amount of RAM. After this patch, you will also be able to play the game with an updated version of their Screenspace Reflections tech, which is a feature that calculates how objects reflect light depending on what angle you're looking at an abject or surface. They've added two new presets for Screenspace Reflections in the options menu so you'll be able to tweak those settings to get better performance out of Watch Dogs 2.

The iconic San Francisco fog in the game has also been given an update in this patch, and you'll be able to play around with an improved Pixel Density slider, Previously this slider could only be set to a maximum of 1.25 whereas you now will be able to set the pixel density up to 1.5.

Other things included in this new patch include support for newer DualShock 4 controllers, a nerf to the YourBoySerge weapon to make it easier for enemy players to fight you when you're carrying this gun, minor fixes for bugs that caused issues with screen flicker, fixes for "incorrect window modes behavior" and various tweaks and fixes for the in-game UI and text.

This patch has been live on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 for a week and now it's available on PC as well.
