inXile Entertainment has announced that Wasteland 3 Patch 1.2.0 will be arriving in the very near future with the promise of fixing some of the game's most severe issues.
Wasteland 3 has been out for a good few months, but it hasn't been free of problems. inXile Entertainment has been fighting a serious battle against the game's bugs, and it looks like Patch 1.20 represents a turning point for the game. Best of all, this won't be the only big patch to come out before the end of 2020!
What's Coming in Wasteland 3 Patch 1.2.0?
Wasteland 3 Patch 1.2.0 will be bringing a number of bug fixes and balance changes to the game. The patch is being colloquially referred to as the "Meat Maker Marinade" patch because... well, I'll just let the developers explain the odd nickname.
"Why are we calling it Meat Maker Marinade?" read the Steam News post. "Well, with this update we’re past most of the urgent issues and are focusing on letting the flavors soak in—balancing the sweet and salty, the sour and spicy, and allowing the co-mingling juices to fill in all corners of the gaming palate. What kind of meat is it, you ask? Come on, you know better than that. In the wasteland you never ask what kind of meat it is..."
A specific focus of this upcoming patch — and a major reason for the time spent in making it — is fixing some of the more challenging bugs that have been around for a while. That said, inXile doesn't expect it to fix all of the problems with the game, although it has said that it will hopefully be launching Patch 1.3.0 before the end of the year to clean up even more bugs.
This patch isn't just bringing bug fixes, mind — Wasteland 3 Patch 1.2.0 is also bringing stability fixes on platforms that may not have as much RAM as you'd like. Patch 1.3.0 has even more surprises in store with the addition of Linux and Mac support along with Brazilian Portuguese and Italian language support.
When is the Wasteland 3 Patch 1.2.0 Release Date?
A specific Wasteland 3 Patch 1.2.0 release date has not yet been announced by the developers, although they have said that it will be coming sometime next week. The full patch notes will be released in the next few days; in the meantime, you can read the Steam News post for all of the details.
After that, players can look forward to Wasteland 3 Patch 1.3.0 coming out before the end of 2020 if everything goes to plan. 2021 is also looking good with plans to launch upcoming DLC content and new features like permadeath. In the meantime, why not close out the year with a great CRPG and buy Wasteland 3 starting at $59.99 via its official website?
