Saber Interactive and publisher Focus Home Entertainment have revealed the Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 roadmap, showing what's coming to the Tyranid-slaying third-person hack-and-slash shooter over the next year or so.

In a Steam post revealing the roadmap, Saber and Focus stress that all of the gameplay-focused updates in the roadmap will be available to all players for free, so they're sticking to their promise that Space Marine 2 won't have any microtransactions.

First up, in the weeks following the game's launch (which is currently set for September 9th), Space Marine 2 will get ultrawide monitor support, private PvE lobbies, and a new sparring arena on the Battle Barge.

The full roadmap for Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2
Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 is getting a whole bunch of content after launch.

Following on from September's content drops (which Focus and Saber are calling Season 1), Season 2 will follow "between October and the end of the year".

It'll bring with it brand new PvE missions for the game's Operations mode, as well as a new enemy and a new difficulty level so you can challenge yourself even further. Season Pass owners, i.e. those who pre-order the Gold or Ultra Editions of the game, will receive new cosmetics as well.

Throughout 2025, more new stuff is on the way to Space Marine 2 as well, including a Horde mode, new Operations content, new PvP maps, and plenty more. All of the gameplay additions will be free, too, so you'll only have to pay extra for cosmetics.

Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 is, believe it or not, the sequel to 2011's hack-and-slash shooter hybrid Warhammer 40k: Space Marine.

The game once again sees Ultramarine Demetrian Titus taking up the mantle of protagonist. After being accused of heresy, Titus' honor is restored and he's tasked with battling a Tyranid invasion.

As with the previous game, Titus has access to powerful melee weapons and ranged weapons alike, and you'll need to use everything at your disposal to take on the Tyranid hordes.

Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 launches for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on September 9th. Stay tuned for more.
