Wargroove Dragon

Have you been a fan of Wargroove, the Advance Wars-like tactical game that has a hint of Fire Emblem inside of it? Well good news, the game is getting some new DLC in the form of a new commander. Best of all, he's free.

Named Wulfar, the Outlaw Chief, he's a giant of a man with a giant hammer to go with it. He also rocks a huge green beard, which is pretty rad. He's the son of pirates and thieves, meaning he's well used to the outlaw life and is a quick thinker that people follow because of this. Of course, it's also likely that people follow him because he's a giant with a hammer.

Like other commanders, Wulfar has a special ability known as a wargroove. His wargroove is called Tee Off, and it's used to smack people away. Specifically, he can smack enemies long distances to reposition them, dealing heavy damage in the process. Not only does it damage the enemy he hit, but enemies near the landing site will also take some damage, making it a solid AOE attack. Developer Chucklefish notes that you can also use this skill to do tactics like knock a ground unit into a body of water, killing them instantly. Better yet, you can also use it on friendly units, giving you a way to quickly reposition anyone you need somewhere else.

While there's no current release date on when Wargroove's new command can be played, you can pick the game up right now on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. If you want to know more you can read our full review here.

How do you feel about this new commander? Going to mess around with him? Think you'd rather keep playing one of the commanders already included in Wargroove? Let us know in the comments below!
