Wanted: Dead is an upcoming shooter with a dash of hack and slasher elements thrown in to create a brutal combat experience and hectic finisher moves.

This single-player game takes what we know about shooters and reworks it into a blend of gore, blood, violence, and slashing enemies to bits. Taking two genres, that fit together well but haven't been placed together all too often, to create what looks to be an intense playthrough. The trailers showcase not only the combat sequences to expect but some of the finisher moves. Some are explosive, some are bloody, and some are just insane to look at. I am by no means a third-person shooter player, but this game caught my attention in a positive way.

There are over 50 finisher moves for players to sift through to find their favorites and several weapons to choose from and customize to fit your playstyle. Some of the weapons to choose from are pretty standard with any TPS, such as LMGs, SMGs, and grenade launchers, but they are made to fit the style of the game using a cyberpunk type of look to the weapons.

Now, just because the game is a third-person shooter and not Souls-like, that doesn't mean it is going to be a walk in the park. In fact, the developers say that this game will test your mettle and your patience every step of the way. The storyline follows a group of teammates from the Zombie Unit, and we learn a bit about what it takes to become an elite officer within the Hong Kong Police station. Players will take on the life of the hard-as-steel Lt. Hannah Stone who is attempting to uncover one of the largest major corporate conspiracies the force has ever seen.

Wanted: Dead is set to release on February 14, 2023, on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
