Idea Factory International is bringing Otome visual novel Hakuoki: Kyoto Winds to PC via Steam this summer. On August 24th PC gamers will be able to enjoy a remastered deluxe edition of the game. For the entire first week it’s available on Steam the visual novel can be purchased at a 30% discount.

Hakuoki: Kyoto Winds is part of the Hakuoki visual novel series set in 1863 at the end of the Bakumatsu period. The series got its start in 2008 and this remastered release focuses on the story in Kyoto with updated graphics and new content. In this chapter of the Hakuoki series, Chizuru Yukimura embarks on a journey from Edo to Kyoto to find her missing father and ends up allying herself with the men of the Shinsengumi.

Six new love interests have been added to the game giving players 12 handsome bachelors to romance. Many branching paths will lead you to one of 30 different endings and a total of over 80 hours of gameplay. Enjoy lovely art and animation as you experience this tale of love, friendship, and betrayal during an interesting time in Japan’s history.

This remastering of the visual novel for PC also brings the deluxe pack, costing $9.99. This additional content will only be accessible with a purchase of Hakuoki: Kyoto Winds. It includes the original soundtrack, a collection of event scenes, PC and mobile wallpaper and a character art collection. A Winds Treasure DLC Box is also available adding six new stories focusing on 6 different characters.
