A new Vampire Survivors update has arrived with patch 0.9 with a few new key features and bug fixes. With four new achievements, a new challenge stage, and two new Arcanas, there is no shortage of new content for players to explore.
The last major update came with a few new features as well, including a phenomenal new stage for players to enjoy. Sadly, that update also added quite a few bugs to the game that the devs took note of. This latest patch seems to have fixed those known bugs and issues, making for a smoother ride for the players. One of the issues that has been fixed is the save file feature. Players noticed a conflict with their save files that were saved to the cloud, so the developers have implemented a safer location on Windows to avoid running into this issue. The file can now be found in the %APPDATA%/Vampire_Survivors_Data file on PC.
Along with bug fixes comes some intriguing new features, such as a new character, Gyorunton. The developers do mention that due to their short time frame, they were unable to link the character to the typical Unlocks and Achievements. To unlock Gyorunton, players must survive at least 15 minutes in the newest challenge stage with only one active weapon. Speaking of weapons, there has also been a new one added called the Bracelet. This is the new character's starter weapon and can be evolved twice.
For those who enjoy the audio quality in video games, a new sound-track has been added into Vampire Survivors as well, which can either be used as a standard in-game track or only triggered when players open the Bestiary. There has also been a cap added to the duration of Limit Broken Weapons, and the results screen will now showcase the damage caused by special Arcanas.
This latest patch brings us one step closer to the full release of Vampire Survivors and gives plenty of new content to keep the game fresh and exciting. The game can be downloaded for free on Steam, where you can also read the full patch notes.
