Upcoming indie roguelike RPG Vambrace: Cold Soul will be launching with a nice surprise for people who purchase the game: a 40-page Vambrace Artbook. What's more, the artbook will be included completely for free. It's certainly a nice surprise after the game's initial release date was delayed!

Vambrace: Cold Soul is an upcoming game that seems somewhat akin to Darkest Dungeon but with its own little twists and turns on the formula. Players will put together a party assembled from 5 unique races and 10 distinct classes as they travel the land, uncovering mysteries and doing battle. Play your cards right, lest you be taken by the darkness and become one of the wraiths that haunt the land!

The game is in the midst of a wishlist campaign as we get nearer to its release date of... well, today. Trying to get people to put a game on their wishlist might seem strange to the layperson, but it apparently is one of the many, many factors that Steam takes into account when deciding on how much attention a game should get on the frontpage. The Vambrace art book was the goal for 20,000 wishlist entries. A soundtrack is planned for 30,000 entries and a manhwa (think manga, but for koreaboos) was planned for the 40,000 mark.

It appears that the game has hit the first milestone of their wishlist campaign and a free artbook will be available with your purchase of the game. You can take a look at some samples included in the Steam Community news post announcing the milestone above.

Devespresso Games has certainly created an interesting new world with some intriguing gameplay design. You can get the Vambrace art book for yourself by purchasing Vambrace: Cold Soul on Steam when it goes live later today. (You'll also get a pretty neat game, too.) The game will retail for 24.99, and will be 10% off for the first week to provide an incentive for early adopters. You can also watch the game's launch trailer below.

What do you think of the Vambrace artbook being included with the game for free? What do you think of the overall aesthetic in Vambrace: Cold Soul? Let us know in the comments below!
