Today Riot Games detailed the global open beta of its "Premier" competitive system for its massively popular hero first-person shooter Valorant.
The beta will be hosted between April 25 and May 23, with the enrollment period between April 25 and April 28, weekly matches between April 29 and May 20, and a Playoff Tournament starting on May 21. A second phase will come in July.
This will serve as a final test of the system before it officially launches in August just after Valorant Champions Tour.
Players will be able to form teams between 5 and 7 players and compete for a spot in the playoffs, with the perspective of winning cosmetic rewards and bragging rights, as showcased in the video published today, which you can watch below. A FAQ has also been published on the official site to provide additional details.
It's worth mentioning that the accounts of all participants will need to be verified via SMS.
Valorant is currently available exclusively for PC.
