Valheim sales and its player count have both continued to grow at a surprisingly fast pace — the Viking-themed survival crafting game has crossed two million copies sold on Steam and it's not even the game's second week.
If you haven't yet played Valheim, you're missing out on what may very well be one of the best survival crafting games created in recent memory. You're tasked by Odin to venture forth into a secret realm of Norse cosmology that effectively serves as a prison for nasty creatures. You must bring order to the madness, either by yourself or with some friends!
Valheim is a survival crafting game in the vein of 7 Days to Die or Conan Exiles. What makes it stand out, however, is that it implements its mechanics well and it has a solid amount of content for an Early Access launch. Players have certainly been loving the game's design — it just crossed two million total sales towards the tail end of its second week on Steam.
Valheim Sales and Player Count Continues to Impress
Valheim sales have hit a total of two million in just 13 days. Its concurrent player count is equally impressive — it hit an all-time record of 360,000 players over the weekend as shown on Steam Charts. The game had already sold one million copies in its first week.
"We wanted to start by sharing a giant troll-sized thank you!" read a Steam Community news post from the game's developers. "In just 13 days Valheim has been purchased by over two million Vikings, and this weekend we reached a new peak concurrent player milestone of 360,000!"
Valheim definitely seems to be on an upswing, though there's no telling exactly how long it will last. You can buy Valheim on Steam for $19.99 or your regional equivalent.
