During August's State of Play event, Sony revealed new footage of Vader Immortal, a new side story focusing on fighting the Dark Lord of the Sith on PlayStation VR. Additionally, they revealed that the game will be releasing August 25th for the system.

If you aren't familiar with it, Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series is made up of three episodes that will be all arriving on PS VR on the same day. You arrive on Mustafar, where Anakin famously lost the high ground, and go to Darth Vader's fortress. You travel through the dark lord's lair and uncover amazing secrets and learn to master the force yourself. Use your own lightsaber to battle Darth Vader's own droids and eventually battle the man himself. From a smuggler nobody, to a force wielding threat to one of the greatest villains of Star WarsVader immortal promises an exciting and amazing adventure in a galaxy far, far away.

Originally released for Oculus Rift and Oculus Quest, this will bring all three episodes of Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series, each running upwards of an hour, to the PlayStation 4 through PlayStation VR. This will also include the lightsaber dojo, which is a non-narrative area that is in each episode that you can use as an open-ended training area to hone your lightsaber skills and unlock all sorts of new lightsaber hilts to become a far more stylish lightsaber wielder.
