The last part of the Halo Master Chief Collection apology from 343 Industries has finally launched after a lot of back and forth this weekend on the suspected release of the product. Last year after all of the complications with the release of Halo: Master Chief Collection for Xbox One, a collection of Master Chiefs four adventures, 343 Industries and Xbox sought to apologize to the community specifically those who purchased the game before the 19th of December 2014.
This apology came by gifting them one month of Xbox Live Gold and an emblem for use in the game as well as announcing that they would be bringing the full Halo 3: ODST campaign to the Xbox One. This past week on numerous occasions ODST appeared on the Xbox Live store with a slated release date of the 29th and when questioned the official Halo twitter responded with the following messages.

Then in a twist players who are eligible for the free Halo 3: ODST campaign should have now received a message via their Xbox One or Smartglass app with a redeemable code to download the full campaign which is 8.1 GB in size. There is no word yet when or if the ODST campaign will be released to all. This code also must be redeemed within a month so you have until 06/30 to do with it what you will.
Are you excited to be playing ODST on the Xbox One? Do you think this makes up for the connectivity issues the game had at launch? Are you already downloading it?
UPDATE: For those who do not qualify to receive Halo 3: ODST for free, according to the recent FAQ posted on Halo Waypoint, it will be on the Xbox Store for $4.99
