Sony has announced the Until Dawn PC specs you're going to need to play the game on your machine ahead of its October 4th release, and it looks like a fairly broad range of specs will be supported.

As with many of Sony's other PC releases, including Ratchet & Clank: Rift ApartGod of War Ragnarok, and Ghost of Tsushima, the PC version of Until Dawn will feature advanced customization compared to the console version, so you'll be able to tweak it to your heart's content.

Until Dawn should be a pretty nice-looking game on PC, if you've got the hardware for it.

All of Until Dawn's presets will require either Windows 10 or Windows 11, and they'll also require 70GB of free space on an SSD, although Sony's High and Ultra presets require an NVMe SSD for best results.

Here are the specs you'll need to run Until Dawn across its several presets!

Minimum (720p, 30fps)

  • CPU: Intel Core i7 4790K or AMD Ryzen 5 1500X
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 or AMD Radeon RX 470
  • 8GB RAM

Recommended (1080p, 60fps)

  • CPU: Intel Core i5 8600 or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 6600XT
  • 16GB RAM

High (1440p, 60fps or 4K, 30fps)

  • CPU: Intel Core i5 8600 or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 or AMD Radeon RX 6800XT
  • 16GB RAM

Ultra (4K, 60fps)

  • CPU: Intel Core i7 11700K or AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 6900XT
  • 16GB RAM

As you can see, if you want to run Until Dawn on a lower-spec PC, you should be able to do so, although you're going to be making some sacrifices in terms of graphical fidelity and frame rate.

As a reminder, this is a remake of the original 2015 Until Dawn rather than a PC port of that game. It's landing on PS5 and PC simultaneously on October 4th, so stay tuned for more.
