Today, publisher Ultimate Games S.A. and developer MasterCode has announced that Ultimate Fishing Simulator 2 would be seeing a release on Steam's Early Access in the second half of this year, with console releases on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, and the Xbox One and Xbox Series X releasing in 2021.
Previously, Ultimate Fishing Simulator released on PC in 2018, and is apparently the highest rated fishing simulator on Steam with a 'Very Positive' rating of 86%. Over 115 thousand copies have sold, and add-ons have sold over 100 thousand copies as well. A VR edition released last August and has also become "very popular."
”The fishing game, which we published almost two years ago, was very warmly received by the players. In Ultimate Fishing Simulator 2 we are going to provide fun at an even higher level. We are preparing many improvements and various brand-new features. They are largely based on the feedback from the community that has formed around our game, for which we would like to thank you. Ultimately, our simulator will set a new standard for fishing games” – says Mateusz Zawadzki, CEO of Ultimate Games S.A.
Ultimate Fishing Simulator 2 will receive improved graphics (obviously), an optional third person view, and new dynamic water and AI systems as well as other new features and changes to the overall product. For example, changes and features includes other players now being visible in the multiplayer mode, a new version of the underwater camera--which includes a close-up of the hook and fish--and being able to fish at a specific place at different times in a given year.
Ultimate Fishing Simulator 2 will release on Steam's Early Access in the second half of this year, along with this-gen and next-gen consoles in 2021.
